Hardware Distribution is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and is a distributor of fibre infrastructure and access hardware and accessories as well as networking products. We offer Support contracts on EOL legacy Cisco networks.
Hardware Distribution South Africa started trading in 2002, as Glue Networks. For the first two years the company focused on the distribution of third party Cisco-compatible components i.e. memory, cables and GBICs (SFPs). Hardware Distribution has a Level 4 BBBEE status in terms of the ICT Charter codes, giving its customers 100% procurement spend recognition.

We offer value added services including SLA agreements and refurbishment of used hardware and handsets.
Flexible and cost effective SLA maintenance agreements on all EOL Cisco products – We offer 8x5xNBD swop out of hardware only in South Africa. All sites can be covered under one contract. With Smartcare you can support End-of-Life Cisco networks while your client ‘sweats his assets’.
What we do
Hardware Distribution is a supplier of networking and fibre products to Telco’s, ISP’s, Enterprise and SMB markets.
As an official Prolabs distributor, we supply compatible SFPs for all vendor/OEM equipment, including HP, Cisco, Juniper as well as Telco Vendors ie Ciena and Adva, which offer huge cost savings. Other accessories supplied include Direct Attach Cables (DACs) and AOC’s, and fibre optic patchleads. We also distribute Flyingvoice WiFi handsets; both desktop and cordless as well as Axtel headsets.
In addition, Hardware is an authorised Cisco Reseller, focusing on providing Cisco Refresh (refurbished/overstocked) products, which offer substantial cost savings and quicker lead times. With Refresh, you can maintain your legacy network while you “sweat your assets”. Authorised Cisco products (both new and Refresh) are supplied to ISP’s and Telco’s as well as the direct end user customer.
Our services include refurbishment of networking products, including telephones and SLA maintenance agreements on EOL Cisco products.
